c) Castings that are found to be defective after rough machining in the mechanical factory should be brought back to the factory and returned to the furnace. The reasons for the waste should be analyzed, and countermeasures should be taken to make new castings in a timely manner.
Solution for Fully Automatic Molding Machine Foundry
a) Requirements for poor appearance quality:
(1) Control the viscosity of the coating well, and do not use a large amount of quick brushing when brushing the coating. It is best to switch to spraying.
(2) Pay attention to the quality of the surface sand and eliminate sticking sand.
b) For inaccurate size requirements:
(1) Before modeling, the model should be checked. If there are any problems with the model, it should be modified (for example, if the thickness of the casting is uneven, the model should be modified to make the wall thickness of the casting uniform, and if the landing point of the cast base is uneven, the model should be modified according to the reverse curvature to make the landing point of the base flat).
(2) When operating with a fully automatic horizontal molding machine, it is necessary to control the shaking of the model during mold lifting.
(3) Conduct a mold inspection before closing the box.
c) Strictly control the proportion of furnace materials, use good materials, clean materials, and dry materials, ensure the temperature of molten iron, and prevent oxidation and high gas content of molten iron. When repairing welding to eliminate porosity in castings, attention should be paid to the repair welding process and welding rods.
d) For areas prone to shrinkage holes, the feeding riser should be improved, and attention should be paid to the riser after pouring.
